Guest Comments
Don't just take our word for it. Below are some comments from guests that have stayed at Montenegro Ski Lodge.
- My second visit to the lodge did not disappoint. The surroundings were as amazing as I remembered and add to that the massive amounts of snow and you have a perfect winter holiday! Not being a skier or boarder myself I still found there was plenty to do on and around the slopes, whether it be bum sliding, or sitting reading a good book and appreciating the hot wine! I found the lodge very comfortable with plenty of room for the whole party.

We have just spent a fantastic week at the Montenegro Ski Lodge at the end of January with 5 friends. The lodge itself was lovely, very cosy and warm, just what was needed after a day on the piste. There was plenty of snow and it snowed every day which was lovely to see and definitely made for fun filled days spent skiing and snow boarding. The views of the surrounding mountains were amazing especially when you were on the ski slopes as you could see for miles. The Lodge is only a 5 minute drive away from the ski slopes which is very handy and Zabljak itself is a lovely little place and has a everything you need. The ski slopes suit all levels of experience and we found the ski/ snow board hire and ski lifts very reasonably priced. If you don't ski you can sit in one of the café bars on the slopes drinking hot wine and watching the world go by. We also did not have to queue for the ski lifts the whole time we were there which was great as we got loads of skiing done each day. Overall we had so much fun on this holiday and would definitely recommend it to other people. This is definitely a place we would love to visit again.

- We had a lovely stay at the lodge mid September, fantastic views of the mountains and ideal location to the local town and ski resorts, plus the bonus of the Tara Canyon only a 10-15 minute drive away. We found the lodge to be homely and comfortable and loved the log burner - real cosy. Also found everything we needed so very well equiped even when catering for 7 people. Thanks for a lovely holiday.

- We've just spent 3 lovely days in Zabljak in the Durmitor National Park. Although the weather was changeable to say the least, exceptinally chilly one day, scorching sun the next, it didn't detract from our enjoyment. The scenery is beautiful and the house is cosy and extremely well equipped. The weather just meant that as there were things we couldn't experience this time, white water rafting and taking the cable car up the mountain as examples, we now have a perfect excuse to go back!

- I have just returned from my second stay at this lovely lodge in Zabljak. This time I experienced the Durmitor National Park in the late summer with 4 days in Zabljak after 3 days in Kotor down on the coast. I had another fantastic time in the lodge and got to see so much more of the beautiful countryside, now that it isn't covered in snow. We had a drive down the gorgeous Tara Canyon (bit too chilly for white water rafting - maybe next time), a walk around the Black Lake and a very nice potter around Zabljak market. The lodge is ideal for a summer stay and we managed to squeeze in a relaxing afternoon soaking up the sunshine on the balcony looking up at the mountains with a glass or two of the local Krstac white wine. There is some new furniture in the lodge which gives even more storage space and the new water tank is great making this is a brilliant place to stay.

- We had a great time at Zabljak and loved the chalet and its location.
We had 3 nights and 2 full days in Zabljak. Day 1 we drove to near the canyon and walked the circular path to the peak of Curovac. This was well worth it and the views were breathtaking. Later we walked around the Black lake - again we had a terrific time. Next day we went rafting with Miro's company. Clearly the difficulty and excitement are not what you would expect if doing it a few months earlier but again we all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and the lunch next to the Tara bridge at the end. That evening we dined at the Javorovaca Restaurant 100m past Miro's office on left on way out of Zabljak towards Savnik. This had been recommended to us by our own agent in Kotor with the words "best food in MNE" - she wasn't wrong. It was unbelieveably tasty and only 48 euro for 4 main courses wine and beers. The scenery is lovely with the mixture of the mountains, lakes, canyon and flat plains.
So to summarise, we had a fabulous time and loved the chalet - you've done a great job with the refurb! It is clearly an up-coming area.

- A fantastic week in fantastic surroundings! Spectacular views from both the lodge and up on the slopes. I would definitely recommend visiting and I would definitely go back!

- I have just returned from a fantastic holiday at the Montenegroskilodge. The lodge is excellent value and spacious enough for our group of 7 guests (including all their ski gear) and we didn't even use the sofa bed. It's cosy and warm, clean and comfortable. As a non-skier there was plenty to do chilling out in the bars, going up the ski-lift to enjoy the spectacular views or toboganning and bumsliding down the pistes. I can recommend the Javaravaca restaurant for authentic Montenegrin food and a lovely atmosphere..

- We found the ski lodge at Montenegro delightful. There was more than enough room for all of us in the lodge and it was very cosy and the surrounding scenery was amazing. We enjoyed most evenings eating in and then relaxing around the log fire playing games and watching movies. Our bedroom was lovely, comfortable, clean and peaceful (other than my partners snoring). The lodge was only a short distance (5 minutes by car) away from the local amenities and the ski lifts. We had plenty of snow, which made for great skiing/boarding and would highly recommend the hot wine served in the bar at the foot of the slopes – delicious. Ooh, great UFO sized burgers in the restaurant too. Although make sure you know what you're ordering (a little translation may be in order)! Overall we really enjoyed our time at the lodge and would recommend it for other visitors to the Zabljak resort.

- I said I'd go back and I did! A thoroughly enjoyable week spent with my friends in The Lodge. The days were action packed on the slopes with the occasional 'hot wine' to warm the cockles and the nights were spent discussing the days antics over a hearty meal cooked in The Lodge and more local wine! Roll on next years trip!!

- Besides the first night, which was a bit cold for the ones without
sleeping bags, the rest of the holiday was great. Cosy cottage (after
the first day), not far from town, affordable prices in the markets and
restaurants, great food, beautifull views. Ski-lifts are also very
affordable (15 euros / day), there is one long slope from the top of the
mountain and another small one at the base. Overall, a great deal. I
would like to visit the area in the summer aswell.

- Didn't really know what to expect but was blown away by the breathtaking scenery. Will never forget the experience of rafting down the Tara Canyon. The lodge was perfect too, cosy and really well equipped. Thanks for a great holiday!

- WOW. What a fabulous location with spectacular scenery. No queueing for the ski lifts like other European resorts and at less than half the cost. Absolutely loved the wood burning stove too.

- A thoroughly enjoyable week. Plenty of room in the cosy house. We enjoyed fun packed days on the slopes but also walked to the Black Lake on the last day. If we weren't eating out in the nearby restaurant, we spent our evenings cooking big meals, drinking wine and playing cards or watching DVDs before retiring to our comfortable rooms. Overall a really really happy week. I'd definately go back again!!
